Dr Brigid O'Leary

Brigid is an experienced educational and developmental psychologist and is passionate about taking a warm and collaborative approach to understanding children and young people's needs and to achieve positive change.

Brigid is trained in various approaches to support early years development, anxiety and mood disorders, neurodevelopmental needs and academic issues. She has also developed and delivered support for professionals and parents and has recently contributed to a program, training mental health leads in schools in the UK.

Brigid also has ten years of experience in detailed developmental and learning assessments, including use of the WISC, WIAT and Conners Rating Scales, and making diagnoses where appropriate. She will seek to understand current strengths and specific concerns in order to explain assessment options and so that, following assessment, appropriate support strategies can be developed.

Brigid has a Masters in Child Development from the Institute of Education and a Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology from University College London, she is an endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist. Prior to moving back to Sydney, she worked as an Educational and Child Psychologist in London supporting children and young people aged 0-25.
